Book making continued today. We read two more stories that Jnna and Charlotte produced. We have decided to make this a Have to. They will not have to create a story, but we will ask everyone to at least draw a picture.
Fishing at the water table. Farrah and Lucy were busy catching fish and cooking them. There was a choice of Shark or Salmon. I commented that I was worried about the sharks teeth. Farrah put my mind at ease by explaining they would remove them.
Annie had asked to play pick up sticks but then friends realized that the sticks were very useful for exploring the science area, especially for poking into dried fungus, noticing how hard or soft it is.
At the end of the morning Kario, Farrah's dad read us a biography about a goat.
Friends listened intently to the story and had a lot of great questions and comments?
REN: I have a coat but I don't have a goat.
KAIA: He loves his coat, didn't he?
BROOKLYN: He likes the coats.
LIVIO: Why did he wear the coat?
KARIO: Because he was very cold and his coat wasn't very thick.
ELI: Why did he get a little more? (more coats)
BROOKLYN:Because he was cold.
CHARLOTTE: Where/How did the girl make the coats?
KARIO: Probably she knitted them.
MAX: Or sew!
KAIA: Why did he wear the coats for nap time, and lunch, and dinner, and bedtime.
JENNA: Why did the little llama wear the jackets when he was still big? Why was he still wearing them when they were too small for him?
REN: Because he wants people to think he is stylish. He's got his own coat now - his fur!
