During morning meeting we looked closely at photos of each other. taking notice of the color of our hair, eyes and skin.
Kaia and Eli's pictures were the first two we looked at.
Livio: Both have brown hair.
Ren: They both have the same eyes.
As we continued looking through the pictures, friends made observations about themselves and one another.
Max: Lucy should be with Ren. They both have the same skin.
Charlotte looked at her hair: I call it caramelish.
Mila: My eyes are hazel.
Brooklyn: My skin is a little bit white and a little bit brown.
Max: White hair, blue eyes, white skin.
Grace: Did you notice something on my hair? I got it cut. My skin is kind of a little pink.
We found out there are two students with hazel eyes, four students with blue eyes and seven students with brown eyes.
A few friends in the class noticed the new larger mirrors we had introduced to the science area and started to reflect the sun light around the room.
Yesterday why couldn't we play with the mirrors and light?
Mila: Wasn't bright enough
Farrah: Too much shade
Kaia: Because it wasn't all the way in the sun
Brooklyn: SUN!
Max: It's called sunbeams
At the end of the morning we had so many books that the class created that we decided to leave my book for tomorrow and read stories about snakes, onions, gorillas and Camilocks by our new Authors and Illustrators.
