Outside and inside

The last couple of days we have been working with clay.  Our students have become adept at manipulating the clay.  Using tools to help them create texture and shapes.

Yesterday we created a mural depicting Spring.  Everyone had lots of ideas as to what they could draw.

The children have enjoyed spending extra time outside.  We used a large canvas tarp to create a tent.

We added another sheet to the playground equipment creating a pirate ship.

Over the last two days we have  read a book about Dolphins and one about Gorillas.

After reading the books I asked if anyone remembered the name for a group of dolphins and gorillas.
 Anne: "Troops!" for gorillas
Livio: "Pod!" for dolphins
Anne: "Dogs live in packs, well, actually it's a pod.  That's what my dog says.  I know how to talk to dogs."

We also read a book about Eid.  The last day of Ramadan there is a big celebration and we read about a little girl celebrating Eid with her Grandmother while her parents went on a special trip visiting Mecca.

QUESTIONS
What did we put on the mural to represent Spring?
What did Aneesa do with her gifts?
Do prefer to play inside or outside?

I have officially finished writing your child's report for Spring.  It may take a few weeks before it has been processed as Administrators have to check all of the reports before they are sent out.

I also wanted to say a big thank you to Marissa for setting up the Meal Train and to all of you for showing your children what it means to be part of a community by supporting someone at a time of need.

Enjoy your weekend.
