SURPRISE! Jenna is no longer a remote learner she joined us in the classroom. YAY!
She got straight to work making cookies for everyone.
SURPRISE! The cub house* asked if we wanted to collect a large pumpkin from their front garden which they had grown just for Pre-K.
We continued on our hike to Gravity Hill, another new experience. You will notice the children carrying art boxes with them, yet another surprise, our Art Teacher, Ms Lane is letting us use these boxes this year. Each child in the classroom has access to one and can keep all their supplies in there for using in the classroom or outdoors.
We all made it to Gravity Hill and after snack we asked everyone to find a leaf they liked and try drawing what they saw, looking closely at the shape and color of the leaf.
Then for the really fun part, playing on Gravity Hill.
When we returned to the classroom we read. I am Human A book of Empathy by Susan Verde
A beautifully written and illustrated book, talking about how we can treat ourselves and each other with respect. We ended our day on the playground and we were all surprised by a visit from Cyrus the Blake bear mascot.
