LEAVES IN FALL

 Both classes hiked to the Golden Forest to check if the leaves had changed color.

Our secondary goal was to find Maple, Oak and Sumac leaves.

A few friends worked their muscles by shaking the young trees and watching the leaves fall.

Time to run, explore and ask questions about what we find.

                                              Thinking of many creative ways to use sticks.

Working together to build a fort with the long sticks.

Using fallen logs as a horse.

or taking a rest and having snack.

Before returning to the classroom to continue working with model magic.  

We read Stone soup with Matzoh balls by Linda Glaser.  Following the same premise as the other stories but with a few different ingredients.
