We got our journals out and thought of a memory from Spring Break that they could draw. Over the last two days we shared the memories with the class giving each child the option of standing up and sharing or having the teacher read what they had dictated.
We celebrated Anne's 5th Birthday with the traditional blowing out the candle and while they ate their popsicles I read The true story of the three little pigs!
The wolf tells his version of the story, which is very different from the original version.
Which perception do you believe, the wolf or the three little pigs?
COMMUNITY DAY
We allowed the children to choose if they wanted to go out and play in the rain or play inside. In the sand area children got to work so that they could make a river. As you will see from the video clip it was a team effort. Some friends chose to dig, some carried water, while others decided to supervise.
Due to the interest in making and selling pizzas. We made real cheese pizza and pepperoni pizza. Making sure we had alternatives to cover dietary restrictions.
Everyone tried a slice and gave it a thumbs up.
There was excitement when everyone rushed to the window to watch a rafter of turkeys on the hill.
As it is National unicorn day here is a joke for you:
What do unicorns call their dad?
Pop corn!
If you look carefully through the photos you may notice students with sparkly horns growing out of their forehead.
