Creating a story

     Today we had a brainstorming sessions.  Thinking about nature and the signs that spring is here.

The class continued painting their 2D self portraits.

At the end of the morning instead of reading a story we created our own story.  Using the template from the three little pigs we voted on what characters should be in the story.  

Our initial ideas for characters were as follows:-

Charlotte: The big bad magical fish

Livio: The big bad dragon

Ren: The big bad chicken

Maxi: The big bad snake

Eli: The big bad wolf and the three little chickens

Charlotte: The big bad bear

Grace: The big bad hamburger

Anne: The big bad puppy

The class eventually decided on The Three little wolves and the big bad dragon

Then we had to decide what the houses would be made out of Ren came up with the idea that the first house would be made of eggs.   Charlotte had the idea of a glue and glitter house.  Brooklyn came up with the idea for our third house.  Deciding it should be made of bugs.  

Of course we had to start our story with, Once upon a time....  After they had listened to the story we discussed  making individual stories so they can have full control of the characters and what the houses are made of.  Some friends liked the idea of adding the animal they are studying to their version.  I can't wait to hear their ideas.
