Geometric pattern blocks are always available in the classroom. Today a group of students became invested in creating radial patterns. Children learn so much from working with pattern blocks. I am sharing a link to one of many great sources that helps explain why we work with this manipulative. You have the choice of connecting to the link if you feel you have the time and energy. Otherwise just enjoy the amazing designs that some of our students created. NRICHmath
Brooklyn presented her animal study on Koalas. We learned so many cool facts.
During group time we looked at the alphabet and organized the animals we are studying into alphabetical order. Each day we will read a non-fiction book about one of the animals. We are not studying any animals beginning with the letter A or B but the letter C is for cat.
We learned about the words grooming, litter and pounce.
